continuous improvement is better than delayed perfection it’s a quote Mark Twain said several years ago and I could not agree with this more this is my third shop third yes my third shop and so far. I’ve been here a little more than a year and have moved stuff around several times if you’ve watched my videos previously probably see that it looks a little bit different now than what it did in olestra deal but anyway the point for me to move your stuff moved to lay out around is to gain a little bit of an edge here gain a little bit of efficiency here and because everything’s on wheels and castors it’s really not much effort at all to move stuff around so it’s not like. I’m making major major shop changes just trying to continuously improve the efficiency and the workflow so today. I want to walk you through five things that. I found to increase my shop efficiency and productivity to the first one of our dimension just a second ago and is probably the most beneficial for anybody in a non professional shop environment and that is to keep everything mobile keep everything on mobile basis on casters and that allowing you to obviously change things as needed and Jordan needs as your shopping needs change, also if you don’t have a dedicated space to where you can leave your tools out at all times it’s obviously beneficial to be able to move all the tools away so you could use that shop space as its otherwise neither the second thing is to have all of your commonly used items open and visible and preferably within arm’s reach of. where they’re going to be used so basically any working environment has multiple layers of storage and used in a way that its most work items that aren’t used often it’s ok if their little inconvenient to access to all of my lower drawer storage here at my mother’s on station isn’t incredibly convenient because yet been so far over so that is a long term storage advancing from that is my waist high doors that are easily accessible and you can easily see down inside them and more convenient than that is all of my stuff that. A Day In The Shop: Preparing For A Workbench
this isn’t one of my typical videos obviously it’s just day by day the shop of getting a bunch of stuff done and I’ve wanted you to want to start on for a long time that I’ve just been putting off and I finally have the perfect reason to do so and one of them is to clear out this wall, so I could build a workbench and hopefully this winter build a traditional woodworking workbench to go right here but all this stuff is in the way so this is going to be moved and a couple changes will be made around the perimeter of the shop because of it so the first change is that my computer has to go it’s love-hate relationship with the computer being in your Biscuit joiner. I absolutely love it because it’s so convenient when. I need a measurement or just to get anything off the computer really fast isn’t working on something it’s so convenient But I hate being in here because it’s so convenient and then. I get distracted and then or minutes has passed and I wasted time when I should be doing something else so it needs to come out. I’m also going to be using that space so that’s another reason why you go out and then also one of the main driving factors is realize that a couple days of the end of the Week. I’m just sitting on the computer doing computer work not really doing anything in the shop so really doesn’t make sense to heat and cool my shop when. I’m just doing computer work already heating and cooling the house so much as I really really want to keep this computer in here it’s gotta go for different reasons, so it is not really like it’s going that far it’s now but it’s only going to the other side of this wall where the finishing supply Rockies literally when you go through this door turn right at his desk that’s why it’s not like it’s going to be so the shop back and cyclone car it’s going to go over there and then also the drill press part it’s going to go over there as. Mortise And Tenon Table

Universal Router Edge Guide And Mortise Jig
